Fort Berens Estate Winery Pinot Gris, British Columbia
Readers rated this wine:
Tropical, honeyed, pristine. Pioneering a new winemaking region near Lillooet, in the Fraser Canyon, Fort Berens is making wines from their estate vineyard blended with Okanagan Valley fruit.
In the case of the 2017, it's a step up from the previous vintage and has a distinct tropical lilt; honey and guava, jasmine blossoms and a core of forest floor and smoke. The palate follows suit, tropical and nicely weighted on the tongue, it doles our concentrated golden fruit. It is pristine and honest.
Pair: chicken salad, mushroom dishes and oily fish dishes. ©copyright 2018 Daenna Van Mulligen
